Job Description

To work with our specialised workshop team and off site project team on a variety of installation projects through to completion in line with the company standards and client requirements.

Our client is currently looking for an experienced Shop Fitter/ Joiner with a proven track record to join a growing fitout contractor.

Responsibilities:

* Install fittings and storage units in line with requirements of each project
* Fit out, re-fit or renovate client sites to include but not limited to offices, restaurants, cafés and retail outlets
* Carry out measurements and calculations
* Read and interpret plans and specifications
* To ensure correct and safe use of hand tools, power tools and factory machines
* Ensure the highest standard of assembly is carried out at all times
* Ensure that you are working in line with current health and safety standards
* Take full responsibility for all health and safety issues for which he/she is responsible
* Any other duties that may be assigned by your Line Manager
* Person Specification Qualifications
* Safe Pass is advantageous
* Shop fitting Trade experience or qualification is essential
* Full driving licence is essential

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

* Strong knowledge of technical specifications of products and installations
* Fluency in English is essential
* Experience of using hand tools
* Experience of using power tools ? Ability to read CAD drawings is essential
* Must be flexible as there will be a requirement for overtime on occasion or night shift
* Strong knowledge of technical specifications of joinery and cabinet making products
* Must possess a dynamic approach to achieving continuous improvement
* Minimum 4 years' experience in a similar role is essential
* Fluency in English is essential
* Experience of using hand tools, power tools
* Ability to read cad drawings and identify all components required for assembly
* Ability to work within tight deadlines in a busy environment
* Flexible approach to duties undertaken
* Ability to work on own initiative
* Strong demeanour as role can place physical demands and heavy lifting may be involved
* Must be self-motivated and able to motivate others
* Good time keeping and reliable
* Ability to learn quickly in a busy fast paced environment
* Must be a team player
